I know! I know! Its been three weeks. I'm a busy woman. Yes, that is a different baby. That's my Audrey... and I got to go see her cause her mama turned the big 3-0. It was a fun time.

Ethan is a maniac. I tried to post his best pics. He loves his bobblehead. He carries him gingerly everywhere he goes. When we take the batteries out (yeah, he sings!) it devestates him... he's like a lab rat pushing the button... confused, hungry for song and dance... so we always give in and load him back up. Bobblehead is asleep in the linen closet right now. Shhhhhhhh!

Anything outdoors is OK with EMO. He loves the hose, makin puddles, stomping, etc.. He has adopted the frogs (they're plaster) out of the flowerbed (i don't know how I acquired them... not really my style...) alas, he loves them, kisses them, pets them, washes them. I'm not sure what's going on there.

We're learning some exciting new tricks. In order of frequency: 1. Time out 2. Poopin in the potty
For all you PETE members out there (get it, anyone??) time out is merely, oh, 15 seconds standing in the laundry room alcove. You'd think we ripped his eyeballs out. He has started self-imposing time out, complete with a fake cry and a high five after he tells me all the no-nos in the house (oven climbing, coffee-table standing, t.v. and or zoe hitting). I guess he's learning.
Now the poop... I"m not saying we're there yet or anything, but I will say that he has made some deposits in the appropriate recepticle. Nobody else cares about this as much as I do. We really do take the flush for granted. We do. We do.

Assumptions Ethan has made... Since ducks= water, water must = ducks. Any body of water, puddle, lake, rain. We do alot of quacking. Can't leave the house without a hat. CAN'T. LEAVE. WITHOUT. HAT.
The fridge holds food. Bananas are the greatest thing. Juiceboxes are for squirting. Kissy lips are halarious. If someone wants to hold your hand, dissolve into puddle on the floor. If your parents say hurry, run in place just to piss em off...

I'll try to post again sooner than last time. No apologies. Wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter, self-employed, works out regularly, 34 pounds lighter (!!!) Erin

Happy Birthday Momo!
The Cuatro de Mayo was pretty big for Ethan. He was outfitted with a slide and water table for outside... finally something to do in the backyard. I think I got sunscreen in my camera for most of my pics, but here are some scraps. We had fun with fence graffiti, pourin' water, sliding (wet shorts makes it FAAAAAST!), and did you know you have to sing Row Row Row your boat EVERY time you pick up a boat? Yeah, you do.
Let's see.... new stuff.... he wakes up talking every morning and doesn't stop until about noon when he takes a nap. New words are "ding dong", "patootie (learned it from school), "yuck", "me me me me me me me!" "ah see" (don't know), and "poot." Very functional, very useful words, yeah??

We're gonna go to the LSU-UA baseball game today and introduce Ethan to ballpark food. He had an icee last weekend- loved it. Talk soon! E

Boo boo! Boo boo! He's obsessed with his boo boo, and I think that he thinks that its the Bandaid that pains him, because he is not cool on them like kids are supposed to be.

Why do the good pics come out fuzzy??

Now that I've figured out how to get pics off my phone, we can have a multi-media experience...

Though not as clear, phone pics are much more spontaneous... a snapshot of our true lives... blah blah whatever.

Have a nice week! E

Happy Easter. The Bunny came and left some goodies. Now he thinks that cheetos and raisens come in plastic eggs. He had trouble opening them, but then figured out if you throw them hard enough on the tile, SHAZAM! goodies fall out...

We can't take a bath without superflous bubbles these days. He loves to eat them, which I suppose they would warn about on the label if it were dangerous.

Zoe and Ethan have been in a little fight lately. Ethan wants Zoe to read to him, brings her stacks of books and even opens them in her face. Zoe wants to be left alone. So... they bark at eachother, give some attitude back and forth. They finally made up this morning, and Ethan even let Zoe have his blanket. Awwwwwwww.

Shaun has to go back to Dallas this afternoon. So begins my second week of noncomplaining. It could be worse... he could be deployed, he could leave me for a Vegas showgirl, he could play video games.... again, my second week of non-complaining. Ethan can help unload the dishwasher now, so we'll be just fine.

Hope everyone has a good week.. Nana and Pawpaw... we'll see you Thursday night. Momo- catch you on Friday~

April is yellow month at school, so I'm making an effort to dress him in yellow everyday. I'm that mother.

Drawing a welcome home picture for Shaun...
Helping in the garden...

We saw the Easter Bunny at WalMart today and tried to sit on his lap, and it was a NO GO. Our safe distance from the Easter Bunny is strapped into a cart, holding on to my shirt... Now we know.

CHECK IT OUT! I figured out how to get the pictures off my cell phone. Impressive, I know.
So we went to Tulsa to the Aquarium and the Zoo. Ethan officially doesn't like fish that are bigger than him, but does enjoy DIRTY DIRTY sheep and goats. His top three favorite moments of the trip were:
1. Hotel hallways (very echolalic)
2. The duck in the hotel parking lot
3. The stuffed snake souvenier.

Momo is still wondering if he washed his hands after he touched the sheep. He did. He did.

We had a fun family weekend, drank chocolate milk, ate french fries, etc..etc.... I've been fielding some nasty comments about not updated this enough. I'M TRYING! He can walk now, and pull things off shelves, and eat dog food (only after he dips it in water to soften it up?!), and open drawers, and turn on stereos, and.. and.. and.. so BACK OFF!! I kid I kid, i will do better.

After an apparent diaper mishap at school today, Ethan had to be changed into his "spare clothes" and came home looking like a rodeo clown. Really. He had on a shirt that was so small I could see his belly button, striped red pants, cowboy boots and a ball cap. Where's the camera when you need it?!
I have to go eat some dinner and do nothing else. :) EABO

Hey hey. All is well. Enjoy the pics...

First things first, surgery was fine. It took about 8 minutes, and the hardest part was the waking up. He also came home with his stickers still on him... and they are STUCK. Seems like they would have ripped those off while he was asleep... hmmm.

Second things second....
He's so big he can sit at the table, but prefers his blueberries caveman style.

Shaun built a veggie garden this weekend with much oversight from Ethan and Zoe. They made a trip to Lowes, measured, hammered, sawed, leveled, then took a water break. We'll get to play in the dirt soon.

All is well. Happy Monday.

Busy busy busy! We've been through another ear infection, three rounds of antibiotics, a trip to the ENT, and now we're getting PE tubes on Monday. We have to be there at 630 in the morning. Er ee er eee er ee (that's me rubbing my eyes)... we're not up at 630, but I suppose we can make it for surgery.

Ethan's learned new signs for open, and cheerio, and can name all his face parts. He's starting to replace his old signs with words which is fun.

Now that spring is finally here we can go to the park again. He loves to swing and slide and HATES to leave. Not an easy transition.

It was finally time for a haircut last night... I could have made him a nice little ponytail with a bow in back, but I opted to let him frolick in his manhood. Here's his new image of masculinity...
I'll update after our ear surgery. The doctor, Dr. Manning, was very nice, informative, and wore square wire-rim glasses (you know I love a man in glasses!) . Apparently it is quick and relatively painless and will get all that goo out and help it not come back. Tootaloo, E
