Hey hey. All is well. Enjoy the pics...:) E

What it's like to be two
First things first, surgery was fine. It took about 8 minutes, and the hardest part was the waking up. He also came home with his stickers still on him... and they are STUCK. Seems like they would have ripped those off while he was asleep... hmmm.

We'll get to play in the dirt soon.
Busy busy busy! We've been through another ear infection, three rounds of antibiotics, a trip to the ENT, and now we're getting PE tubes on Monday. We have to be there at 630 in the morning. Er ee er eee er ee (that's me rubbing my eyes)... we're not up at 630, but I suppose we can make it for surgery.Ethan's learned new signs for open, and cheerio, and can name all his face parts. He's starting to replace his old signs with words which is fun.

First day of school! For those who don't know, the Mama gut went off AGAIN... (it is SO loud sometimes) and we switched schools. This mama (and dad) decided it was time for some more structure, some nap time, some activities, etc... Anyway, we started today. He marched in like he owned the place, with his backpack full of necessities (one frog, one I Spy book, an extra hat, Fuzz the Blanket) and told me bye bye.
Cousins galore! Eli, and Emily, and Baxter and Gibson all came over this weekend to celebrate Papa's 80th birthday. He was proud of his brood... how many 80 year olds get to sit around with their five great-grand kids? It was a fun party.

Ethan figured out that Tostitos are better than Cheerios. I can't argue with him. I tend to agree. He carried it everywhere with him on Sunday, and it took him 6 hours to finish it. Perseverance.
We went on another trip. Are we always on a trip??

We got to see the cousins, and also went to Sarah Max's 2nd birthday party. Ethan likes an Elmo cupcake.
Hey there. We're back. Our little guy is getting tall and skinny. We can't keep his jeans on him. He's learned to wave at EVERYONE and EVERYTHING... and he's not shy. He is currently obsessed with hats and lids. He asks for his hat when he gets up in the morning, and then puts anything he can on his head and calls it a hat, then laughs. I don't know if he's figured out that his head is indeed his head, or that hats are people lids, or what. He also likes to be in charge of all lids of the house... and we give him that duty.

I need to be a better blogger... I'm starting to get phone calls with subtle hints. I'LL TRY! I'LL TRY!
Its Wednesday. At least its not Monday. Its FREEEEZING in Fayetteville. Ethan lets out a little "buuuh" when we walk outside. So, we can't play outside, its dark at 530, and its gettin on my nerves.

And is finally sticking some veggies in his mouth on his own.
Hey hey. Long time no post. We've been busy. Ethan got to ride his first WalMart Quarter Stealer on our way to Shreveport. He liked it just as much when it wasn't moving. Mental note taken. We finally got to MoMo's house, played in the yard, became Godparents to Julien Alexander, went to his party, met another kid named Ethan, got back in the car and came back home. It was a good trip.

Ethan still prefers 4 wheel drive over 2. He's making up for it all with his little new words that are popping up daily. Momo asked him "Did somebody push you?" and he pointed to his shoe. He's funny. He has also overgeneralized all things round to "ba!!" Tomatos, apples, acorns, actual balls, oranges, you name it. If its round, its "ba!!" and he has to hold it. He's got his signs down pretty well, but milk is starting to get mixed up with bye bye, and nap is getting mixed up with hat... he does add a little " haaa haaa" choking on a hairball kinda sound to the hat one...bath is getting mixed up with hug... BUT, we have a yes nod and a no shake, so after 8-10 questions, we understand EXACTLY WHAT HE'S SAYING. We're no picture of efficiency.
