GOLF IS SERIOUS.

Ya'll feel like all the pictures are starting to look the same? Little blonde boy, some sort of athletic apparel? I know... me too.
We're getting deeper and deeper into the DETAIL of our dress-up play. Now there are separate shoes, shirts, shorts, helemts(of course), and GLOVES (where appropriate) for each sport. We went to the mall last weekend where Ethan found the grossest, shinyest, nylonest, un-breathablest, kelly greenest, sleeveless mess of "soccer uninorm" that I have EVER seen. He said "Oh Mama! I found it" like he had been waking up nights worrying about his lack of soccer apparel. It was only 6 dollars, so we got it, and when he decides to stop wearing only baseball shirts to school, I'll get a picture of its shiny grossness. I told him he was gonna get sweaty in it, but he didn't care.
Shaun and Ethan went to play golf this morning. Ethan was looking forward to drinking root beer and driving the cart. I asked him if I could go, and to Shaun's ultimate delight he said "No mama! Boys only!"
We're off to Sea World next weekend, so that should be a nice change of picture scenery. Tootles, E

Are you kidding?? Of course snow boots go with shorts. And I quote "Mama, Football Man needs boots to run... always"

GOt a haircut on Saturday morning. He sat very nicely- but then bartered for a soccer ball for his good behavior. We're suckers, so we went to the store, where he picked a baseball helmet instead. New. Beloved. Helmet. Sleeps in it, eats in it,prances in it. Even makes Jenna the Babysitter wear his bike helmet in his presence. We thank her for her good sportsmanship.

Riding his dinosaur. "Hey mama- wanna be a cowboy? (shakes his head).. nooooo, actually(new word.. he has no idea what it means) you wanna be a cow GIRL?"

Bennett came over.. they got everything out.

We wasted our money at "Tha Cir-cus VaaaaalenTIne" on Saturday. I just don't get it. It smelled like Elephant s**t, the acts weren't that good, and it cost 26 dollars. Any of you who know me well know that I get REALLY nervous when other people are performing- I'm nervous that they are going to be embarrased and that if they are embarrased that I will be embarrased, so I get embarrased and can't watch. I really should take medication- ANYWAY, Ethan has inherited my igry feelings (it's a real word... look it up)and he could barely stand to watch the guy pretend that he was going to jump off the diving board into the trampoline "water" whilst prat falling, losing socks, honking his nose, etc... He looked me and Shaun up and down and said "that is not funny." I agreed. We left. Here we are trying to make sense of the one and only Cir-cus VaaaaaalinTINE!"

Oh and.... We're PRIVATE SCHOOL people now. Ethan got into New School- he starts in August. I hope they don't kick us out for being unrefined. I bought him a new backpack... just cause I was itchin' to monogram something. Check it out! www.thenewschool.org
