Hanging out in the sink.... tellin jokes in the swing.... giving sleepy eyes... this is our final day as stay at home people. I head back to the real world tomorrow. We did lots today... enjoyed a stroller run, practiced sleeping in the big crib, etc.. I have no idea how I'm supposed to get both of us ready to face the world by 800 in the morning, but other people do it, so I figure I will too. Later! E

At least this way we don't get sprayed in the face... He loves being nekkid... who doesn't??

Rachel kidnapped me this evening and took me out for drinks and a gymnastics meet. I was light as a feather with no carseat, no diaper bag, no Ethan!!! It was strange. I got home to find him bungee corded to the dryer... and asleep. Sometimes Daddies are smarter than Mamas.
Everyone needs to get a little piece of this smile. All he has to see is Shaun's tickle hands coming towards him and he cracks up. I have to work a little harder for the smiles, but I manage.
Rachel and I are trying out the Spin class at the gym in the morning... 930 in the morning. Anyone who knows Rachel's love affair with slumber knows what a big deal this is. Think of us. Night! E

Nanas and Momos know what kids like.

We tried out the Aquarium Play Hut from MoMo and got 10 minutes of pure unadulterated happiness.... an eternity! Ethan kept grinnin at the blowfish, and the blowfish kept grinnin back.

I thought I didn't want a swing in my house. I was so wrong. The amazing BananaNana showed up with this one, and it is the greatest thing. Ethan no longer looks like he's gonna fly out of the leg holes when we turn it on... and its been known to induce a nap.

I won't have near as much time for web-posting antics once I go back to work... so get your fill in now.
I'm starting to catch glimpses of Shaun in Ethan's face. They're starting to look more and more alike.

Happy Friday! E

Another showing of (1) the yellow t-shirt ... and (2) the smile I can't get enough of!! You know, now that I think of it, I did go ON and ON about how hot Lance Armstrong is my boyfriend.... and he wears yellow all the time. .. Maybe its Shaun's assertion that he is, indeed, numba one!

A sense of humor or just gas??

Hey everyone... Long time since my last post. We've been running the roads between Little Rock, Shreveport, and Fayetteville.... but we're finally hoome.
Our little guy is changing daily. He saves all of his grins for his Daddy. Please note the rip-roarin game of "diaper head" that they both love.
Has anyone else noticed that Shaun is wearing a yellow shirt in every picture?? Its not a reflection of his hygeine... I just told him he looked good in yellow one time and.... I'll work on it.
We're going to practice dropping Ethan off at daycare at the gym. He's only allowed to stay for two hours there, so we're going to try it out tomorrow and see how we do.
Talk soon! E

Highlights of the day: We met with the lady who is going to sit with Ethan when I go back to work. Her name is Gayla, she lives a mile from our house, and she seems all lovey dovey. I don't want to talk about it anymore.

Ethan slept some of last night in his big crib. I only let him sleep on his tummy when I was wide awake and very aware of his breathing. No worries.
Momo bought him those socks on the day we found out he was a boy. In fact, Momo has purchased every pair of socks the boy owns.

For those of you who have not witnessed the luxury of the butter chair, there it is... it is silky and comfy and the color of country crock... and its where I spend most my days and some nights. Anyone who comes for a visit is welcome to sit in it. As you can also see, Mable and Zoe remain very uninterested in our new bundle.

Goin to bed. We're headed for Shreveport next week . Hey Smax! Here we coooooome!!!

5 weeks old today... I did some research on the Reglan that the doc prescribed, and its a dopamine inhibitor, which makes me nervy. With all the people in the world that are addicted to antidepressants, do I really want to mess with fresh, new, functional receptors? I'm torn... as the vomit comet that Ethan has become is equally disturbing.
7 until 10 pm continue to be the rough part of the day. That's the time that the Reglan becomes inticing, as it promises drowsiness.
Rachel got Shaun a free membership to Fayetteville Athletic Club (AWESOME!) so now we can all go work out. There's a infant swim class that I want to look into (the pool is heated)... and now Shaun can teach Ethan how to shoot hoops.
I got to bathe today, which is an upgrade from yesterday. One more week until the elusive six-week miracle that is supposed to occur. Can't wait. I have no shoes to match the bags under my eyes. Meau meuar, EBO

We're up to 9 pounds... I knew my arms were getting shakier...
Everything looks good. No ear infection, no congestion. The doc gave him a Rx for Zantac and something else, both seemed to work like a charm this afternoon, but I'm going to give it a couple of days before I kneel to the biochemical gods.

Excitement of the day: We've moved up to size one diapers, as the newborns leave his little booty crack sticking out. I would've taken a picture, but he was squirmy.

Monday: EMO stands for Ethan McScream Oliver. We're going to the doctor tomorrow to rule out ear infection. We've discovered the front carrier, in which he is currently snoozin... finally.
Nothing new to report... but here's a picture history of our day.

Testing... testing. I'm no wesbsite afficianado, but I can follow simple directions. Apparently, Nanas and Momos like consistent updates on the doings of their boy... I'll do my best not to disappoint.

Lets see.... today we took a bath. That was the highlight. Banana-nana came up for a visit and sprinkled her magic dust about.... I know its the pictures you really care about... Now I have to figure out how to make the pictures go where I want them to go.

Update: Now he's screaming. Its dinnertime. I'll play with this again later. :) E
